If you are moving or just need to pack things up, you don't need to buy packing boxes. The best packing boxes can be had for free. Any major supermarket will have what you need for the asking. The best boxes are cereal (packing boxes) because of their sturdiness and size. But really there are so many sizes and options you are not limited. The key to getting all the boxes you want is finding out when the store does re-stocking. If it is a 24 hour store like most WalMart stores or other major supermarkets you can be there while they are doing the restocking. All you have to do is ask for the boxes and they will just give them away.

The reason they give them away is because they are going to throw them away. By taking the boxes off of their hands, not only do you save money, but you save the employee's work and prevent junk from filling the landfills. The only negative side to using these boxes is the small risk your old and new neighbors may think you robbed a cereal truck or that you are an extreme bulk shopper. It sounds like a win-win to me...
